Mass Hysteria

Mass hysteria is a psycological condition that is caused by great excitment or anxiety.

For example; there were some cases of mass hysteria during the attack on the world trade center on 9-11. When the planes hit, there were still hundreds of people in the twin towers. Inside, there were bodies everywhere. The stress and panic of the attack caused some people to jump out the windows only to fall to their death. Others froze they were so struck with fear that they couldn't move. We lost many innocent Americans. We will never forget.
